BRIDGING VALUES, CULTURE AND TRANSFORMATION.

Who is this person who loves to build bridges?
Who is this person who firmly believes that business comes about when people understand ONE ANOTHER?

NAMASTE AND GOOD DAY! There could be no better symbol of building a bridge between two cultures than myself:              Purvi Shah-Paulini.

Born of Indian heritage in Stuttgart, I grew up speaking the Swabian dialect and my native Gujarati.
Travelling for work: Many international trips, accompanying delegations and gaining in-depth insights into multicultural (primarily Indian) and German company structures to consolidate my expertise as a qualified point of contact when it comes to value and cultural change, change management, structural and organizational development for business and political organizations, German, international and multinational level.

I have been working in this area since 2005, first studying business administration then enhancing my expertise in change management and intercultural consultancy based on the integral approach. The business administration perspective considers indices, processes, targets, etc. Then, my profound integral perspective considers the person. The significant factors that make people different have, for a long time, been considered potential sources of error or cost factors. By changing how they do things, companies can also avoid this dead end.

My work and my passion make me an intermediary between people in organizations. I know from experience what tweaks need to be made, not only to meet the target requirements but to make a long-lasting difference in terms of both internal culture and external impact that goes way beyond the added value of merely meeting the target requirements.

BLACK OR WHITE? BOTH, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN!

It is important to point out that simply creating a mixture of cultures serves no purpose if the result is a grey, monotonous sludge. In other words, my work is not about ‘either/or’ scenarios, it is about ‘not only/but also’ solutions.

Finding these ‘not only/but also’ solutions is not only highly individual but also an absolute necessity. This is because we live in times that can no longer be defined by a reality based on single cause and effect relationships: it is more a question of realities based on multiple causes and effects. Dumbed-down simplifications do not work any more.

The opportunity here lies in the fact that solutions can be all the more differentiated and therefore all the more efficient and appreciative than ever before.

DO NOT LET CHANGES WASH OVER YOU, ENGINEER AND DEVELOP THEM YOURSELF!

This engineering and development is part of the core motivation of what I do. As an integral and (inter)cultural consultant, development advisor for people and organizations, and coach/mentor, I draw upon my extensive education, translate my experiences exactly where they are required and integrate findings and processes exactly where sensible and necessary for the specific task in hand.

I draw my own energy both from the ancient wisdom of the east and the knowledge of the west (see podcasts) and from valuable, open dialogue with different people from business and political organizations.

INQUISITIVENESS, HUMOUR AND A LOVE OF CHALLENGES

I am inquisitive about people and issues in organizations, and enjoy viewing them in their full diversity and complexity in order to come to a clear, mutually beneficial approach.

Even when times get challenging, it is important to never lose your sense of humour as it often the best way to get back into solution mode.

I stand by that. Humour is important to me and I do deliberately use it, especially when I am pointing out and discussing apparently unpleasant things.

I am also aware that this is only possible in a mutually appreciative and respectful relationship on an equal footing.

THIS IS WHAT MY WORK IS BASED ON:

My work is based on Ken Wilber’s integral theory and the thought and explanation models that go with it. Among other things, I use integral organizational and structural constellations and methods based on integral behaviour—both by Rolf Lutterbeck—and approaches to thinking derived from eastern and western philosophies.

If you recognize that you need more bridges for your processes, structures and/or interpersonal relationships within your company, then I look forward to working with you.

This will enable us to build the bridges of understanding between one another and reap the benefits in terms of healthy business.

A LOOK AT THE ELEPHANT

Why does my logo include an elephant?

In many cultures, the elephant is a symbol of wisdom, peace and power. It is even considered sacred in Asia.

Elephants are not only powerful beasts, they are also level-headed and intelligent. They have an excellent social understanding and, as powerful animals, they can help

  • solve problems,
  • boost courage by giving strength as a protector,
  • make carefully considered decisions, and
  • crank up spiritual growth.

Patience and resilience, adapting without losing format, reliability and perseverance, intelligence, learning quickly and not forgetting anything, reliance and cautiousness when it comes to solving sensitive tasks – All this, it is said, embodies the elephant!
